A Milkshake IPA? I didn't know what to expect! But I certainly like the result: a sweet and fruity start, combined with a touch of bitterness. Very special! This definitely tastes like more.
ROSIE
A Milkshake IPA is an intriguing beer style that has gained popularity in recent years. So this beer style cannot be missing from our Bucket List! The name “Milkshake” refers to its creamy, silky texture and distinctive sweet notes obtained from the addition of lactose and fruit.
Jump out of a Plane is a cloudy, blonde and sweet beer with a silky smooth mouthfeel. The aroma is fruity and tropical, with hints of peach, apricot, vanilla and biscuits. A noticeble hint of almond and nuts meets you. At the first sip, you taste the distinctive hop bitterness of an IPA, combined with fruity, sweet notes thanks to the addition of fruit and lactose. The full, creamy texture finishes it off and provides a pleasant mouthfeel. The interplay of bitterness and a full-bodied, creamy sweetness is complemented by fruity aromas. This stimulates the senses and creates a whole new beer experience!
The complex flavour profile and surprising combination of hoppiness and sweetness makes our Milkshake IPA a must-try!
Brewers talking
The choice of hops when brewing Jump out of a Plane was also different from traditional IPAs. The hops used are fruity and floral in character: the emphasis is on the fruit rather than choosing extremely bitter or hoppy. This ensures a harmonious balance between the hop aromas and the sweetness of the fruity elements. Quite a challenge!
