Talk about a thirst quencher! The ideal, original beer for a summer party: much tastier than an ordinary beer and yet not stronger. Even if the Belgians do not score, I still score with my choice of beer!
PASCAL
Troubadour Spéciale is an amber coloured beer with a spicy and malty first taste, a light body with a touch of caramel and mild hoppy flavors which make you think of an “English Ale” or Spéciale Belge style followed by a dry and bitter aftertaste.
Brewers talking
The Spéciale Belge beer style was first introduced in 1905 at the World Exhibition in Liège in response to popular English, German and Czech beers that were then on the rise. This amber beer can be compared to an English ale: not too high in alcohol and a dry aftertaste. Although the style is not nearly as popular as at the beginning of the 19th century, we still wanted to make our own, contemporary version, because this beer style still deserves a prominent place in our beer culture today. And here he is: Troubadour Spéciale!
